Another winner was Western's Scott Nicholls who was awarded the Wilkinson Sword Trophy for the Best Scottish Young Player. (Scott was in good company, with Jamie Murray receiving the award for Best Scottish Player.)

In May 2006 the Club completed work on resurfacing three of its tennis courts with a modern all-weather artificial grass surface. Following the success of this resurfacing, the remaining three tennis courts were resurfaced with the same surface in April 2007.
The size of the Club's gym was increased in April 2006, with new cardio and weights equipment, and a new dedicated weights area.
The redesigned Club Bar was opened May 2003. Outside the Clubhouse there is also a drinks patio and barbecue area. Anyone wishing to hire the Clubhouse for a special event should contact the Club Committee or bar staff. Members are also welcome to use the barbecue area - just bring along your own barbecue materials and food!
